We closed the beta! (9/23/15)

After a very successful beta-period we have closed our beta today. I want to thank all people who participated in our beta - more than 200 worldwide! You really, really helped us a lot. Besides your awesome feedback, your enthusiasm has made the final stages of development very enjoyable for us! Now, the countdown to our official release the 1st of October has begun :)

Beta release V0.97 (9/15/15)

We've recieved some great feedback the past few weeks, and we've added two new features to our plug-ins:

1. We've added a High Pass filter to the compressor (to the detection side-chain). So, if the compressor is reacting too strongly to your kick or bass, you can compensate for this. This way you can smoothly compress tracks with heavy kicks or prominent basslines as well.
2. We've added 'click and drag' functionality to the edit-boxes of our EQ's. This gives you much more freedom in adjusting the parameters of the EQ's. We've also added this functionality to any edit-boxes on the other plug-ins.

Beta v0.97 is our final beta release. We will officially release our 7-Step Mastering Suite the 1st of October. But... We will keep improving on our suite for the coming years, so if you have questions or suggestions about our 7-step mastering suite, don’t hesitate to contact me personally at This email address is being protected from spambots. Beta release V0.96 (8/15/15)

Today we finished our cross platform Beta’s for release: VST2 and VST3 for PC, and AU, VST2 and VST3 for MAC, 32bit and 64bit. (AAX will follow later). We hope that there are some Mac users out there who are willing to give our suite a try as well! We do not expect any more bugs, but to be sure we want to try our plug-in bundle on as many systems as we can. Besides that we are of course still very interested in your opinion about our plug-ins and the 7-step mastering ‘method’ that comes with them in the form of a 20 page ‘quickstart’ manual.

Beta release V0.95 (8/1/15)

Our new Beta is online!: V0.95 of our 7-Step Mastering Suite. With the help of our Beta users we have been working on a major update of our 7-step mastering suite and have improved the plug-ins on many levels:

- We incorporated many clever ideas our beta users came up with.
- We made the plug-ins cross platform: VST2 and VST3 for PC, and AU, VST2 and VST3 for MAC, 32bit and 64bit. (AAX will follow)
- We rewrote all of our algorithms and made the plug-ins sound and run much smoother.
- We added new functionality to the plug-in interfaces to make them more user friendly.
- We have improved the plug-ins greatly in terms of efficiency, size and memory usage.
- We have solved all known compatibility issues.

As our new August beta, we’ve put up the improved 32 bit VST for PC version of the suite. The next two weeks we will be preparing all the other Beta’s for release as well: VST2 and VST3 for PC, and AU, VST2 and VST3 for MAC, 32bit and 64bit. We hope that there are some MAC users out there who are willing to give our suite a try too :)

We are still very much open to feedback, because we could have missed something rewriting our algorithms and because we will continue to improve on the suite for the coming years. So if you have questions or suggestions about our 7-step mastering suite, don’t hesitate to contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. User Reviews

“The 7-step mastering suite is a very versatile, nice and easy concept that's highly beneficial for both the pro and beginner sound engineers, it sounds very good on different genres and yields that "expensive" sound of bigger and more professional studios, and given that awesome price it should be in every home studio. We need a AAX version but it will be here soon as advertised on the product homepage. It works!”

“Noiz-lab has succeeded in making something complicated easy. This software proved that to me right away. It also provided me with detailed information in Dutch about how to use it and to set it to my own liking. I had not seen such a clear bundle of tools before at such a nice price.”

“I am not a professional engineer, I'm just my band's engineer/sound guy. We're a grown-up garage band in Northern Vermont called Thunderbolt Research. We've been learning to record, mix, and master on our own as we go. Speaking as an amateur enthusiast, Thanks!! This is great! You've made "mastering" tangible and accessible. It's hard, as an amateur, to learn what mastering really means. Those who can do it like to act like no one else would ever understand. I found the manual to be extremely informative, possibly the best "how to master" that I've found. The tools all make sense and are easy to use. I'm really excited for my band to record our next tune so I really get into the nitty gritty. Your tools are definitely permanent additions to my tool kit.”
